what’s she watching?

Hi again 👋🏾 ,

When I’m not laughing at reruns of Catfish trying to understand why there are soooo many crazy people in the world or clicking on that clickbait trying to figure out how to get super duper moisturised 4c hair in three steps, I am trying (that’s in bold because I do have a habit of watching a lot of pointless things) to find Christians YouTubers. I’m a new subbie to a few of the vlogs but I can honestly say that within a short time, many of their videos have inspired me to make a few changes. So here they are. If you like the sound of them, click on the images and go and check them out! 😊

If you haven’t heard of P4CM then I really don’t know for you tbh 😂 😕. No but seriously, this was probably the channel that made me realise that Christian spoken word is actually a real thing. As in people make a living off of it. It is so cool. Beyond the poetry and acoustic sessions on their channel, P4CM also have a show called The Conversations. It is a panel talk show hosted by everyones favourite funny lady Yvonne Orji. Men and women with different backgrounds come together and share their honest perspectives on different topics. Give a tryy!

I Stan for Feli. Pardon the Eminem reference but it’s true. If you were to ask my sister for one fact about me, she would tell you that I get bored of shows reallyyyy easily. It often frustrates her when we are watching a series together and then I give up on it after a few episodes. In her very own words “your loyalty is pathetic.” But when it comes to Simply, Feli this is something that I could watch forever. She is honest and transparent and I truly admire her. She shares her relationship with God very openly in her videos and every time I watch her I realise just how much I am slacking. Her channel simply makes me want to be a better me.

I stumbled upon ChelseyMariaa’s page quite recently whilst scrolling through my YouTube Recommended section and boy is she deep. Blunt and honest but all the while loving. I remember sitting there with autoplay on watching video after video. She talks about topics that are relevant to many young Christians (spiritually and physically). I think that most of the videos that I have been watching are quite old but from what I’ve gathered, she’s jumping back on to YouTube so I’d definitely recommend that you check her out.

I first heard of Gabes and Anna when my friend told me that I reminded her of Anna. So I obviously had to check out who this girl was and see if it was a compliment or an insult. So that’s what I did and I quickly became hooked. They’re not your regular YouTube couple. It’s clear that they are a couple on YouTube, open about their struggles and their pasts and it’s great to see examples of how they have come to put Christ at the centre of their relationship. They are funny and relatable and it’s just great to see where God is taking them (e.g. free holidays to Hawaii)… 😵

Being a Christian is not all about Bible studies and fasting. I came across CornflakesNoSugar whilst watching Gabes and Anna because they are sisters. Cool right? I started watching her recently and her content is fiyahhh 🔥 . She has a series called ‘SCENARIOS’ where her friends debate and talk about different issues. I guess that what I love about her channel is that she is showing what Christianity looks like beyond the Bible studies and the services.

I had to feature Joseph Solomon. Not just because he is cool but because boys (men) vlog too. Music, discussions, poetry, you want it, Joe’s got it. He talks about many topics that many shy away from and in an age where it seems like church is a women’s only club, it is very refreshing to see men like Joe living out his faith publicly and unashamedly.

I hope that you found this useful. Farewell 👋🏾
